The position is located within the Tau Biology Group in the Neuroscience Discovery organization at Ludwigshafen. We are looking for a talented neurobiologist who will assist various early-stage drug discovery projects investigating Tau pathological mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, working in a collaborative environment. The candidate is expected to refine experimental workflows and develop new methods according to project needs. The position is offered for 1 year. Key Objectives: Design and execute protein biochemistry and cell biology experiments to address key scientific questions. Independently perform data analysis and interpretation. Identify, develop and optimize new techniques and assays to address critical project needs. Effectively compile and present scientific plans and data. Read and apply relevant scientific literature to support scientific discussions. Collaborate with multiple team members, other groups in discovery and global colleagues Qualifications BSc or MSc in neuroscience or related life science field or equivalent industrial experience in neuroscience. Expertise in Protein Biochemistry and Cell biology including method development and validation is required. Expertise in the culture and differentiation of iPS-derived or primary neurons is desirable. Track-record in neurodegenerative diseases would be desirable. High scientific rigor and commitment to provide robust, high-quality scientific results. A high degree of self-initiative, independency, flexibility and curiosity. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal relationship skills. Good communication skills and proficiency in English (written and oral). Ability to present scientific activities/results in internal meetings.
