Job Description
Mission: To support Integrally Geared compressor sales in the Asia Pacific region by developing project specific selling propositions and assisting with technical expertise the Sales Managers. Process starts from pre-acquisition activities to handover to project execution team. Scope includes all technical aspects of proposed equipment, and partially development of costs and support to Sales Managers for commercial aspects as required. Assist Sales Managers in customer meetings as required with technical expertise of the Siemens compressor product capabilities and features. What are my Responsibilities: • -As Proposal Manager (f/m/d) you will be responsible for tender preparation, tender coordination and tender tracking of complex turbo compressor projects for our international customers in the air separation industry, oil & gas, metallurgy and chemicals. • -In addition, you will analyze customer requirements and translate them into a competitive offer with the involvement of an interdisciplinary team of engineers and business people. • -You design turbo compressors with the aid of technical calculation programs. • -You check the technical feasibility of the machine concepts you develop and identify project risks or opportunities. • -You determine the costs and the associated delivery time for the scope of delivery you have planned. • You continuously monitor the project status and independently ensure target-oriented and complete communication within the project team and the cooperating specialist departments. • -You conduct project negotiations together with the sales team at home and abroad and represent your quotation to the customer as quotation project manager. • -You will also be responsible for handing over the order to the project management and the engineering departments in charge. • • Conceptual solution development, including project screening, to develop unique selling propositions for all opportunities the business proposes (may be in consultation with Sales Managers as required) • Support Sales Managers in negotiation and technical presentation of the proposed solution to the customers • Prepare technical LoA and comply with LOA process for each firm offer/contract, including drafting of technical comments to client specs and gaining Product Manager approval. • Prepare (together with headquarter assistance) & present technical papers on product developments and applications to targeted conferences throughout the region • Technical and cost responsibility of proposed equipment • Support Sales Managers in hand over of awarded projects to project management / engineering department • Keep track of technical developments of competition. Track and record what solutions are being offered in the regional market by competitors • Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment • What do I need to qualify for this job? • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering • A minimum of 9-12 years of experience with design and features of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines. • Proficiency in presenting to customer’s technical specialists, to convince them of the Siemens compressor capabilities. • Traveling for meetings, trainings and customer negotiation Job Title:- Application engineer for Compressor ( Instrument, Control and Electrical) About the role Mission: To support Integrally Geared compressor sales in the Asia Pacific region by developing project specific selling propositions and assisting with technical expertise the Sales Managers. Your new role – challenging and future-oriented • Conceptual solution development, including project screening, to develop unique selling propositions for all opportunities the business proposes (may be in consultation with Sales Managers as required) with respect to Electrical and I&C engineering. • Determining and recommending best solutions for required system functionality. • Generate proposal documents and cost sheets • Ability to effectively obtain, develop and communicate technical information to both clients and customers • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks • Hands on experience on P&ID development, Instrumentation List/Datasheet, Signal list , Hook ups , JB drawing , wiring drawings & interconnection . • Control System cabinet design, DCS Architecture, DCS/PLC Hardware selection, Logic Diagram, Cause & Effect charts . • Selection of Instruments, Control Valves, Junction Boxes , Cables . • Programming of I&C devices (such as BN 3500, VM600, Simatic S7 based Control System) ? this is no job requirement • Analyzation of customer electrical specifications, specification and inquiry of electrical drives (fix speed motors) with starting device and evaluation of sub vendor offersMust be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment. We don’t need superheroes, just super minds • Minimum 6-9 years of work experience in engineering Oil & Gas industry preferably in Rotating Equipment’s. • Good technical knowledge of motor and drives , instrumentation and control systems. • Knowledge of applicable standards & regulations i.e. IEC, Class requirements etc. • Good communication and analytical skills, Proactive and able to work under deadlines in a global project environment. • Traveling for meetings, trainings and inspections including working at Company office will be required.
