The Customer and International Business Development Division (C&I) is responsible for providing quality wagering experience marketing, and CRM to local and overseas customers of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner.

The Job
You will

• assist in the development of trading algorithmic models for new products and new markets to expand the existing portfolio of betting products
• provide strategic input to the development, implementation and delivery of product innovations along with pricing and service improvements and requirements
• assist in the development of all model and statistical analysis for automated trading tools
• assist in the development of Trading Systems and Quantitative Finance engines with the objective of improving efficiency and profits exclusively in the trading environment
• assist in ad-hoc projects

About You
You should have

• a degree in Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines, MSc and above a real bonus
• minimum 3 years working experience, preferred in a modeling/analysis/statistics role (statistical, Artificial Intelligence & Operational Research techniques or other disciplines)
• strong computational background, with experience in some of C#, VBA, Matlab, R, SQL and other data and code manipulation methodologies
• formal training in big data analysis and knowledge in usage of software named HADOOP a must
• a keen interest in sports and statistical analysis is essential as well as a good understanding of the gaming industry
• passion, enthusiasm and curiosity about Football Trading plus interests in other sports such as Horse Racing, Basketball, etc.
• fluency in written and spoken English

The level of appointment will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience. A contract of employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
