Bilingual Communications & People Strategy Sr Analyst (LATAM EI O&T and ICG) - Asst Vice President

Job Description

This position reports to the Head of O&T Communications for Latin America and independently contributes to the development, coordination, implementation and optimization of internal communications campaigns for ~13000 LATAM (including Mexico) Operations & Technology (O&T) employee base including EI O&T, ICG O&T and GCB O&T in alignment with the business strategy.  Partner with outside agencies and internal clients in the execution of campaigns, communication vehicles and projects.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Co-leads People Strategy – VOE initiatives for EI O&T LATAM and ICG O&T LATMEX colleagues (~5000 employees) supporting adequate working environment for the organization in the region.
  • Write and edit employee communications for various internal print and electronic publications (i.e., LATAM O&T Newsletter, LATAM O&T Collaborate site, LATAM O&T Intranet, organizational announcements, collateral material, etc.)
  • Provide editorial support, including research, inquiries, correspondence, information requests, fact confirmation, style editing, proofreading, document preparation and obtaining reprint permissions.
  • Provide editorial and production support for the publication of internal materials at interdepartmental levels, including global and regional teams.
  • Independently creates, designs, edits, and reviews communications prior to release to ensure message consistency and alignment with Citi’s shared responsibilities and corporate branding. Utilize knowledge and operational skills of the appropriate software programs to produce communication materials, including designing slides for meetings utilizing PowerPoint, posts in HTML, images in Photoshop and/or Illustrator, among others.
  • Maintain internal communications channels through a variety of media venues, including print, video, audio, and web-based (intranet).
  • Generates creative and engaging themes for assigned projects, campaigns and copy writing.
  • Interface and build relationships with external vendors to handle production and distribution of publications and special projects.  Exchanges potentially complex/sensitive information.
  • Uses audio, visual, video and other media proficiently and creatively to tell a story.
  • Reviews and analyzes data to measure effectiveness, impact and engagement of communications programs and special projects.
  • Deals with variable communications issues with potentially broader business impact. Apply professional judgment and analytical thinking when interpreting data and results.
  • Coordinates multiple priorities utilizing strong organizational, analytical and leadership skills.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge base of programs and issues within the non-profit community to ensure responsiveness of the business to these needs.
  • Partners with senior staff in the execution of internal communications activities (e.g. data analysis, fact-checking, drafting documents, tracking participation of program/initiatives, etc.)
  • Supports special communications projects and special events (town halls, leadership meetings, local employee events, etc.) for ~5000 employees of ICG O&T and EI O&T.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
  • 5-7 years of communications professional experience
  • Strong written, verbal and communications skills in English and Spanish
  • Excellent journalism, which should include writing, reporting, editing and communicating in both electronic and print media
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing corporate environment, independently as well as on a team, and interact with all levels of management in a professional and positive manner
  • Ability to translate complicated concepts into common language
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated track record of successful, proactive communications programs that employ creativity and use a variety of communications channels
  • Experience in traditional and new media
  • Experience with graphic and desktop publishing software (PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, among others)
  • Knowledge in HTML. Feels comfortable in hand coding.
