Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This position is based at our Mississauga, ON facility OR remote from Quebec. Position Overview: Provide world-class customer support to both internal and external customers while maintaining complete awareness of all matters affecting a defined region of customers. In this function you will: People Coordination Advises customers of availability, price, and terms in line with standard parameters. Exercises limited authority in pricing to meet competitive pressures. Coordinates with other departments to quote lead times and delivery dates for product which is not in stock. Follows up as necessary with other departments/division (eg. Operations, Purchasing, Shipping & Finance) to ensure delivery dates are met, and proactively communicates delayed shipments to customers. Advises customers on use and application of standard products and refers more technical inquiries to appropriate personnel. Process Management Communicates directly with customers, agents and outside sales representatives via phone and e-mail to represent the company and obtain orders. Accurately processes all customer requests including orders (received via phone, fax or electronically from Manufacture’s reps, distributors, OEM’s & internal sales personnel), Return Material Authorizations and credit/debit requests in the appropriate database. Order Management: reviewing/tracking backorders with inventory planners, tracking shipments, offering alternative product if requested product is not in stock etc. Initiates Discussion with customer to obtain Forecast to provide inventory planners. Promotes Sales/Marketing promotions. Mentoring/Developing/Promoting Customers on new systems i.e. Order Center Resolves problems with shipments or invoicing. Issues Return Goods Authorizations and enters replacement orders as necessary and raises the appropriate quality notifications to ensure root cause of issues are addressed. Responsible for ensuring issues are escalated to managers for prompt investigation and action as required. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: College diploma from an accredited institution Bilingual English/French is required Strong communication skills 3 years of customer service experience Ability to manage different priorities Ability to adapt quickly Ability to work/learn independently with minimum supervision (self-educate) Team player is a must Preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of SAP is an asset Electrical industry is an asset Position Criteria: Communicating with customers (internal/external) Responsible for own large scale retail customer Fair amount of autonomy until customer issue is escalated Self- educate Team player Additional Information Generally in an office environment Visit customers at times (limited travel) Strong interpersonal skills Concentration during sensitive client interactions Month end pressures Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Internet We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
