Position Overview: The primary function of the HR Generalist will be to support the Human Resources Manager in the implementation and deployment of Human Resources policies, programs and initiatives. In this function you will: Enters information for all newly hired or rehired employees, in local and corporate systems, assuring accuracy for purposes of payroll, benefits, etc. Maintains records and submits HR Services change tickets for accuracy as changes occur. Monitors changes made by supervisory personnel, and makes corrections as necessary. Audits employee information to assure continued accuracy. Reviews attendance records of hourly personnel and advises as to administration of hourly attendance policy. Monitors these records for accuracy. Alerts human resources manger or supervisor to issues. Administers policies fairly and consistently. Provides instruction to employees regarding FMLA and leaves of absence. Assures that required paperwork is timely and accurate. Responds to employee requests in a timely manner. Alerts human resources manager or supervisor to issues. Communicates with third party Eaton providers on benefit issues for short and long term disability, retirements or other benefit concerns. Keeps up to date on benefit policy and process changes. Communicates with Eaton Service Center as needed. Assists with recruiting efforts, orientation and onboarding of new employees. Completes required verifications of employment, background investigations, or other requests for information as required. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources OR Labor Relations OR Business Administration from an accredited university OR a High School Diploma AND a minimum of 2 years of human resources generalist experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or Business Administration Two (2) years of HR experience in a manufacturing / Distribution environment strongly desired.
