Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, Hong Kong, the Billing Assistant will handle all billing enquiries and reporting requests. As part of the role, he/she will have overall responsibility for coordinating the bill preparation and billing support activities and also ensure that bills are properly prepared on a timely basis, in accordance with engagement letter and issued immediately to clients.
This job description is not exhaustive and the job holder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the agreed billing instructions with the clients are updated in the Elite Enterprise (billing and accounting system);
  • Liaise with partners/fee Earners/secretaries to process all respective billing activities;
  • Prepare, print and distribute bills to Partners as per the billing schedule;
  • Revise bills as instructed by Partners and Fee Earners, ensuring that any discount or write off are consistent with firm policy and properly authorized;
  • Ensure the bills are processed and approved in Elite Enterprise and send to clients on time;
  • Ensure the billing process is efficiently organized across the month to avoid the month end bottle neck;
  • Research and respond to fee earners/secretaries for billing related inquiries;
  • Receipts identification for bills settlement;
  • Compile ad hoc reports when required.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Diploma in Accounting or related discipline
  • Billing support experience gained from sizable corporation, preferably with professional firm is highly advantageous
  • Responsible and able to handle a high volume of tasks
  • Mature, pleasant, self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision, being flexible and resilient to meet deadline
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Immediate available is preferred
