About The Role:
RWS Finance in the UK is expanding! We’re looking for a Billing Specialist to join our growing finance team in Maidenhead.
Supporting such an organization to operate across many countries creates various development opportunities within finance.
We’re growing our Operational Finance team to improve our ability to deliver accurate and timely information, work faster on our continuous improvement roadmap and drive greater business insight. We’re looking for individuals aspiring to develop themselves as part of this growing team as we progress on our journey to creating a top finance team.
Responsibilities:
As the Billing Specialist you will be a critical part of our ‘Order To Cash’ process team, supporting the Credit Controllers by delivering on billing statistics and improving sales ledger processes to maximize cash collections
Invoicing
- Accurate and timely invoicing to customers and posting of documents
- Quality control of the invoice requests submitted by operational staff to ensure all information is correct (e.g. selection of the debtor ID / PO number / billing currency)
- Establish and maintain strong contacts with RWS staff who provide invoice requests to effectively resolve any problems prior to the invoice being raised
- Ensure the correct application of VAT on invoices raised and the recording of foreign VAT codes on invoices when required
- Minimize the use of credit notes through accurate billing and resolve any issues to prevent it re-occurring
Processes and controls
- Ensure compliance with RWS invoicing procedures
- Develop a good understanding of the internal systems used for reporting and billing so as to be comfortable and confident when using them as well as external customer billing portals
- Recommend improvements to the billing process
Requirements:
- Organized & methodical
- Accurate with very high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure & to strict deadlines
- Good written and communication skills
- Experience of high volume / low value invoicing in an international environment would be beneficial
- Experience using Great Plains is preferred but not essential
