Your Role

Implement, maintain and upgrade the automation of genomic data analysis and quality control workflow/pipeline on premise and cloud environment
Build scalable mutations, genomics annotation and phenotype data store
Work with internal and external IT teams to manage bioinformatics workflows.
Work with scientists and software engineers to implement and driving the deployment of bioinformatics solutions.
Develop new bioinformatics workflows as needed.
Expand the bioinformatics workflow into downstream clinical workflows such as variant interpretation workflows

Requirements

Master's degree in computer science, bioinformatics, information systems or related field. Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience will also be considered.
Familiar with Linux computing environment.
Advanced programming skill with Python or Java and shell scripting.
Experience with code version control (e.g Git, Bitbucket or SVN)
Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, and teamwork
Good command of spoken and written English

Nice to Have

Familiar with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis workflow.
Experience with developing bioinformatics solution on cloud (e.g. AWS EC2, S3) environment)
Parallel/High-performance computing experience
Experience working with Docker
Experience with software development and project tracking cycle (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL, data management training related to database design using solution such as RDBS or equivalent
