Summary

Taron Solutions Limited is entering an exciting period to build our global brand servicing pharma and biopharma industries. We are looking for a bioprocess development engineer at our Hong Kong Headquarters to help develop optimize cell culture conditions, purification, scale-up and optimization to add to our growing process development team. The individual conducts duties and responsibilities listed below, plus any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages and works closely with the existing R&D team to optimize cell culture and purification processes for scale-up preparation.
• Develops innovative process for manufacturing drug products
• Identifies and interprets data independently. Performs data management and tasks to record results effectively in lab notebook or computer system with minimal supervision.
• Help manage equipment procurement, maintenance, improvements, and design.
• Perform equipment and process qualification and validation.
• Continues to be up to date with scientific paper, governmental regulations and guidelines.
• Investigates and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Generates SOPs, forms, logbooks, study protocols, specifications, protocols and reports as necessary
• Works well with peers from different disciplines and a good team player to achieve departmental and company goals
• Coordinate effectively with different disciplines and share knowledge, skills and experience
• Mentors and supervises technicians

Requirements:

• BS or above in Chemical Engineering, biological engineering, or related major.
• Good understanding of process and process equipment such as bioreactor, liquid chromatograph and filtration etc.
• Familiar with MS Word, Excel and other common computer skills.
• Able to work in Hong Kong
• Able to comprehend engineering drawing such as PFD, schematics and PID etc.
• Proficient in both verbal and written English, optional Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)

Salary will be based on educational level, discipline, and years of experience. Other benefits based on short-term and long-term incentive performance base (cash and stock options)
