The Body Shop & Parts Manager - Galveston, TX position is responsible for the organization and management of the body shop and parts department to ensure the flow of vehicles and parts meets the customer demand for volume and quality targets.

 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Coordinates and monitors body shop operations including scheduling of daily activities
  • Ensuring WWL (vendor) has adequate headcount to meet the objectives and performance criteria of the Body shop
  • Managing the interaction and relationship between BMW and WWL management, body shop technicians and associates.
  • Monitors and issues QAD’s (quality reports) to the respective Plants on body and paint related issues
  • Decides on surface quality, fit and color match for individual vehicles or accessories as needed
  • Monitors accessory installation, processes, quality, scheduling and other functions to help support Aftersales accessory business through the VDC
    • Supports service providers with training, training tools and other aspects of body shop and paint requirements
  • Communicates with Legal and other departments about repairs and paint disclosure information
  • Supports and decides on diagnostic work, and helps determine extent of body or heavy damage work required
  • Responsible for the parts ordering and return process. Maintaining compliance with all the BMW Warranty standards.
  • Overseeing the receiving of orders, parts ordering, installation and quality of the VDC installed accessories.


  • Technical or vocational school (Body & Paint repair).
  • 5 years of body, paint, assembly fit experience.
  • Strong paint and body shop background essential.
