Position: Book designer
Open to: Non-Chinese citizen living in China and overseas
Location: Beijing

Work hours: Full time, but working from home acceptable
Salary: RMB 10,000~12,000 per month plus extra projects remuneration

Job Description:
This is a full-time position which allows working from home where necessary, and the working responsibility involves:
1. Designing of covers and content pages of books and promotional materials targeted at the international market
2. Providing professional opinion on outsourced designs and drawings
3. Carrying out internal trainings on cultural differences as reflected in book designs and drawings
4. Other related tasks assigned by the department head
There are also opportunities to participate in book projects as an illustrator if applicable.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. English as a native language (with fair command of Mandarin Chinese as an advantage), or fluent in Mandarin Chinese
2. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university (a major in art or graphic design is preferred) and three years of experience in graphic design
3. Professional book design skills and good command of state-of-the-art design tools such as illustrator, Photoshop, indesign and flash
4. Ability to work as part of a team and to maintain high-quality work while meeting deadlines
5. Experience in illustrations and drawing is a plus
