Reports to: Managing Director of China

Our client is an international forwarding and logistics provider headquartered in Europe. Headquartered in Basel (Switzerland), the Group stands at the centre of a world-spanning network, with over 120 branches and 15000 plus headcount including their network of agents, covering the whole world. They have been in business over 140 years and are privately owned. They are about to expand their presence in China.

Purpose: To organize and steer all activities of the branch related to operations, business development and sales, finance controlling, administration and staffin order to systematically expand the company controlled business and achieve sustainable growth and profit.

Responsibilities:

Ensure an effective operations according to market competitive productivity ratios

Penetrate the market and search for focused business development opportunities fitting to the company network

Organize sales and lead the entire organization in line with customer expectation and marketrequirements,

Monitor performance and results continuously in regards to budgets and objectives and according to measurable key performance indicators,

Lead the entire organization and provide professional leadership all staff members in a motivating company culture and working atmosphere.

Profile:

Know how in air freight and ocean freight and internationally experienced in networking

Self driven and proactive attitude

Sales and customer oriented with good customer relations in the logistics market

International experience in particular in Europe and North America

English (business) mandatory as well as experience with European customers and trades
