Job description: Brand Editor, Prestige Online

 

Position statement:

Prestige Online is looking for a Brand Editor with experience covering luxury fashion, food and

travel in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Digital Operations Manager, the candidate will write and

publish articles on a daily basis, and work towards digital KPIs to produce high quality content for

our readers. The editor will also assist the team to create and lead strategies to strengthen the

brand’s online presence.

 

Responsibilities:

- Managing the Prestige Online editorial team and liaising with the print team to fulfil content KPIs

- Write daily, SEO-friendly online articles that are relevant to our audience

- Assign and edit contributor work

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of running the website and its social media channels

- Represent the Prestige Online brand at high-profile events including media tastings, press

previews, exclusive interviews, etc.

- Establish content and marketing partnerships with brand partners in Hong Kong and look after

current plans together with the Sales Team

- Establish relations with content contributors and find innovative solutions to create new content

on the site

- Manage an editorial budget

- Hiring and managing interns

- Generating ideas for new editorial content and projects, as well as creative ways to cover

sponsored content

- Project managing all sponsored content for clients

 

Requirements:

- Excellent writing and communication skills in English

- Keen interest, knowledge and contacts in the world of ultra-luxury lifestyle, particularly in fields of fashion, watches and jewellery, food and beverage; knowledge of the regional travel and wellness landscape is a plus.

- Possess at 5+ years’ experience in digital media in Asia.

- Proven track record of writing engaging, well-researched, SEO-friendly stories and headlines.

- Detail-oriented, resourceful and can work fast under daily deadlines.

- Ability to optimise content for all distribution channels (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

- Ability to analyse traffic data to identify user needs and gaps in content

- Creativity and drive to collaborate with the Sales team to create successful campaigns

- Excellent knowledge of ultra luxury brands in the Hong Kong market and relevant personal

connection

- Strong relationship to celebrities and the high society scene in Hong Kong

- Experience using CMS such as Wordpress

- Knowledge of analytics tools such as Parse.ly and Google Analytics

- Experience in working with digital KPIs (engagement, reach) and knowledge how to improve

them

- Working ability of image editing software.

 

Other skills that will be an added advantage include:

- Practical knowledge of video production/editing

- Spoken and/or written Chinese proficiency
