At AstraZeneca Greece, we have an opening for a Brand Manager in the Respiratory and Immunology therapeutic area being responsible for a new treatment in COPD with main focus on Specialists.
Brand Manager plays a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on patients’ lives. The incumbent will be leader and responsible for planning and executing the external strategic plan with key customers for our product. This position reports directly to the Business Unit Director Respiratory & Immunology and closely collaborates with cross functional partners including sales, medical, market access and other functions and leads the Brand Team of in order to ensure we have a strong market presence.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Understands and articulates the Respiratory patient’s perspective from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey. Uses this and marketplace insight to deliver effective and competitive Strategic and Tactical Marketing plans
- Ensures that local networks within Respiratory are built and maintained
- Leads the creation of innovative and highly effective Strategic Brand Plans with increased focus on Specialists
- Ensures engaging operational and tactical implementation of the Brand plans, analyzing, anticipating and, where possible, shaping marketplace changes and identifying and maximizing new growth opportunities
- Implements a truly cross-functional account planning and customer engagement strategy for the Brand and regularly seeks cross-functional feedback to ensure it is functioning effectively and explores new and innovative approaches
- Seeks new promotional and channel opportunities (innovation), like e.g. digital approaches
- Leads the Brand Team with regular performance and strategy review meetings to ensure optimal performance both in and above country
- Oversees the budget management for the Brand
- Agrees and delivers upon Growth, Sales and Operational metrics, measurements and targets for the Brand
The successful candidate profile should:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in scientific or business discipline
- Master’s Degree preferable
- 3+ years of strong marketing background in a large/mid-sized pharmaceutical market Experience in Respiratory therapeutic area will be prioritized
- Strategic mindset, strong analytical and presentation skills
- Understanding of Account Planning, Territory Management and Customer insights
- Enterprise mindset and focus; strong process skills and ability to work in an organization with cross-functional teams
- Effective stakeholder and relationship management experience; able to interact and build trusted relationships with multiple levels within and outside of AstraZeneca
- Fluent in Greek and English
