Overall role of the Brand Manager is the optimization of:

? Brand profitability

? Sales volumes

? Market Share

? Advertising and Promotional (A&P) budgets

? Inventory

? Principal’s understanding of market opportunities and challenges

? Brand objectives as mutually agreed by principal and ASC Fine Wines

? Contribution for the team with new ideas, frameworks from own experience

Specific responsibilities include (but not limited to):

? Develop specific brand sales strategies and promotional plans to optimize profitability, sales volumes, market share and brand objectives within allocated budget parameters by working closely with principals, senior management, sales managers, Director of Marketing, regional marketing heads and channel managers as well as government/trade bodies/other external organizations where applicable.

? Closely monitor and analyze brand profitability, sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity.

? Manage A&P budgets of each brand including developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting the activities and results of said A&P expenditures.

? Build strong relationships with principals. Manage all principal communication with the support and guidance of the Director of Marketing and other senior management where required. This communication includes market environment updates, operational plans, sales performance, sales strategies, promotion plans, inventory management, contractual/other legal issues, principal visits to and ASC staff/customer visits to the principal.

? Manage organization, implementation and reporting the results of supplier visits to Greater China and ASC staff/customer visits to the principal.

? Work closely with PR team to manage organization, implementation and reporting the results of brand PR programs throughout Greater China. Provide clear brief to PR team on required objectives.

? Work closely with event team to manage organization, implementation and reporting the results of brand events throughout Greater China. Provide clear brief to events team on required objectives.

? Work closely with Design & POSM teams to provide clear brief for creatives, POSM development, other promotional materials, label changes, new wines, tasting notes and winery information.

? Recommend monthly brand order quantities to optimize inventory management. Work closely with VP of purchasing, inventory managers, Director of Marketing, other senior management, sales managers, regional marketing heads and channel managers to achieve this.

? Position based in but will be required to travel to all ASC offices and other sales locations throughout Greater China to collect market feedback and develop and implement sales strategies and promotional plans. Brand manager will also travel to visit principals in order to enhance knowledge and understanding of principal’s brand and respective wine region.

? Provide leadership direction and regular training to direct reports.

? Work weekends/overtime as required

? Ensure all responsibilities are met in a timely manner.

? Compulsory take initiative to lead the cross-brand, cross-category projects in the team
