In line with our journey to become a truly customer focused company we are now setting up an H&M China Brand Hub to strengthen the brand, customer offer & experience in China - making it possible for the Chinese customer to create a modern and inspiring home , driving profitable omni growth in collaboration with Region & H&M Home. In line with this development we are now looking for a Brand Responsible for H&M Home China Brand Hub with the mission to set and optimize the brand’s global strategy for the Chinese market.

As a Brand Responsible for H&M HOME China Brand Hub, you will in close collaboration with Region and Brand be a part of setting the China omni strategy for H&M Home to reach the 2025 plan. You will be responsible for identifying the crucial actions to make the H&M Home customer offer and experience relevant in China and you will be strongly knowledgeable about the Chinese customer and market - knowing when the global strategy needs to be adapted to China, as well as supporting with a China perspective on the global strategy.

To enable relevance and speed you will support colleagues in Brand Hub, Region and Asia Tech Hub with information about the Brand strategy, customer group knowledge and assortment info. You will have a constant focus on improvement being the one to share customer & market insights and identified potential to H&M Home. On top of this you will lead and drive the set China strategy with relevant stakeholders, enabling an efficient information flow between the different brand functions and Brand Hub and take lead or part in development projects of the China Brand Hub.

To be successful in this role you need: 

  • To be a generalist and have the ability to see the big picture and drive overall targets
  • Several years of knowledge and broad experience from different areas within retail (e.g. sales, online, merchandising, assortment, commercial planning), preferably experience from the interior retail business in China
  • To be a strong leader with experience from formal staff responsibility and inspired by our values
  • To have strong skills in, and extensive experience from driving cross functional projects
  • To possess strong business sense and an ability and passion for starting up and executing new business strategies.
  • Possess high level of local knowledge and understanding of the Chinese market.

About the recruitment process

This is a full-time assignment based in Shanghai and you will report to the General Manager for H&M Home as well as Head of H&M China Brand Hub.
