If so, we are hiring a Brand and Digital Marketing Associate at Blue Sea Watersports. This individual will become a core member of our branding division and play a large role driving business impact through both brand and digital initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who is looking for a unique combination of traditional brand marketing/management responsibilities but also has a passion for the digital landscape. Roughly 30% of the work will be digital and 70% will be supporting brand initiatives but will change dependant on the need.
Brand Management: The Brand and Digital Marketing Associate will support our brand activities by collaborating with sales, operations, product development and finance on various activities. The applicant will be expected to take the lead on certain brand tasks such as social media management, content creation and advertising. Under the guidance of the brand manager, this position will also execute marketing strategies and improvements in accordance with marketing plans and goals, including but not limited to advertising campaigns both print and digital, tracking and analyzing relevant data and metrics then using said data to drive improvements to the brand’s website and social media platforms etc.
Digital Strategy: This position will also identify, articulate, and execute strategy and best practices across the digital landscape. In this role, the Brand and Digital Marketing Associate will have to straddle multiple disciplines to drive the performance, equity, and share of our brands and build engaging brand experiences. This role ensures knowledge transfer for our small portfolio of brands. This individual will possess successful digital marketing communications (paid, owned, shared, and earned) experience, can synthesize complicated information into simple explanations, and has proven success in collaborating across multi-functional teams to drive forward-progress. The successful candidate will be familiar with the processes required to market an overseas brand from within China and be up to date with best practices especially with regards to IG and FB. Most importantly, this person has a proven record of thriving in ambiguity, can work with agility, and can drive growth and results by securing buy-in from multiple stakeholders.
Job Roles
Examine brand performance and optimize – track and understand weekly/monthly sales data and derive implications
Execute against annual brand plans to achieve sales, marketing and market share goals
Lead and support all NPD projects from end to end, weighing and prioritizing quality, voice of consumer and business impact appropriately
Partner with brand manager in the development and execution of communication plans across all brand communications channels
Create and steer lead generation and advertising efforts (both paid and organic) to prioritize and maximize return across all brands
Lead relationships with third-party partners, including ratings and reviews, magazines, website testing, and analytics
Develop and implement strategies to improve KPIs across all sales platforms, including website, social media marketing, print marketing, and more
Proactively identify potential lead sources and analyze business impact
Qualifications
Min. 2+ years of marketing, with strategy, communications, and digital experience, preferably in the Sporting Goods industry
Degree in a related discipline
Meets standards for a work permit in China
Understanding of digital platforms, technology, and opinions on their applications (Experience with Social Media Ads platforms a plus)
Skills in content creation and management a strong plus
Strong drive for results including: strong leadership, decision-making and analytical skills, effective communication skills, ability to think strategically, self-motivation, and a passion for the consumer
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and agency partners
Ability to influence and lead others, including those outside of the Marketing function
Strong sense of urgency, even when managing initiatives with long lead times
Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing priorities and adjust to different management styles
Experience in measurement and analytics
