Reuters Beijing is looking for a quick-thinking journalist with strong news judgement to join the Beijing-based China speed team, with a focus on company news. The successful candidate will be skilled at finding the news and key details in Chinese language corporate statements and turning them into English-language alerts and stories that are fast and accurate. In addition to covering corporate news, the successful candidate will work regular shifts on the wider speed desk, helping to monitor and write stories on everything from politics and disasters to market-moving data on the world’s second-largest economy. This is an opportunity to develop knowledge across the full-range of stories that are of core interest to Reuters clients, and to take on increasingly challenging writing and reporting assignments.
