We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Packaging to create and test packages and installs for Intel's oneAPI toolkits. This team is responsible for CI/CD, Packaging, Install, final validation and release of Intel oneAPI toolkits and other software products. The engineer works on the packaging and creating installers for oneAPI toolkits and its components using third-party and internally developed tools and delivering Intel SW products to all popular distribution channels with the utmost installation convenience and quality. In this role you will work on automation as part of the CI/CD system for Intel software products and product suites (like oneAPI toolkits). The system provides product packaging and validation capabilities. You will contribute into release process automation based on existing services written in Python and create new ones. A part of the job consists in ensuring release process continuity via setting up these services in new lab location. You will be also dealing with CI/CD pipelines and internal infrastructure support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Design, test, and build common application installation scripts and packages for oneAPI toolkits and components for different operating systems.
? Work closely with developers to collect requirements for product installation that also includes binary installers and packaging.
? Work closely with internal software teams and DevOps engineers to provide automation as part of CI/CD
? Evaluate 3rd party packaging tools for integration with existing tools
? Design and develop installation, authorization, and package management technologies for usage
? Improve the quality of the existing code base through debugging, refactoring, and improving tests.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or electrical engineering or computer engineering or related technical discipline
3+ years of experience with the following skills:
? 3+ years of experience with application package engineering
? Experience in C, C++, JavaScript, Qt
? Experience with scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
? Strong experience with Linux and Windows OS (system and services knowledge, application-level SW development)
? Understanding of SW architecture principles and approaches to design and development of reliable, scalable, and modular SW systems
? Knowledge of DevOps concepts and successful examples of applying DevOps methods and practices; understanding of CI/CD principles
? Experience with make, GCC, python, bash on Linux (Ubuntu, SLES).
? Strong analytical skills in debugging issues with CI/CD flow.
? Experience with Windows Installer (MSI) technology and packaging tools.
? Experience in image signing like Docker trust, Mac Notarization, Windows Sign
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in one or more of the following:
? Experience using Git (GitHub) or other version controls systems, including experience providing commit hooks.
? Experience with enterprise CI/CD tools standup, configuration, and maintenance
? Experience in API design and development
? Strong analytical skills in debugging issues with CI/CD flow.
? Experience with Ansible, test automation
? Knowledge of code analysis tools like Klocwork, Protex
? Knowledge of code coverage tools like codecov, Pytest-cov, Intel code coverage
? Knowledge of binary analysis like BDBA, SNYC
