The BIM Director will bring value to the construction staff by helping to meet all the safety, quality and output requirement for FCE. The BIM Director will be a positive role model in the cultural change within the organization and help drive a LEAN culture into the overall BIM process. They will help set up the Intel team, trades and contractors to deliver a world class BIM structure. They will help define the contracts that will successfully align BB/LOD/TI into one cohesive and effective program.
Role of BIM Director:
2D hand detailing is being replaced with 3D modeling programs and digital tools. The expected outcome of 3D modeling are highly accurate and coordinated spool drawings ready for fabrication. This will lead to a higher volume of offsite manufacturing (OSM) and higher trade productivity in the field. To meet these requirements, many factors will come into play. These include quantification, schedule, 3D model input accuracy, change control, contracts and overall project management. The BIM Director will lead and support these efforts to ensure the contracts, project execution plans, contractor collaboration and Virtual Design coordination are being met.
As a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Director your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execution of BIM strategy.
- Manage/Direct the BIM Coordination Processes.
- Create and deployment of BIM strategies.
- Develop/Review project execution plan (PEP for 3D management execution).
- Help build the BIM contracting strategy.
- Create, implement and maintain BIM standards, BIM workflow Documentation, and IP standards.
- Oversee activities or methods of BIM support team (augmented resources, Integrator, CM) to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of BIM models.
- Drive/Support/set the expectations for BIM support team.
- Oversee methods used to ensure the federated model is updated and distributed.
- Work with space planning for 3D modeler seating logistics.
- Work with key stakeholders.
- Manage Architect/Engineer firm to ensure design models are created per spec and that all required data is included in models.
- Ensure Design Models are clash adjudicated per approved adjudications.
- Help train project team to leverage BIM Models to understand and manage their scope effectively.
- Develop deployment plan for Intel 3D Deliverables to TI Trade Contractor. Enable high volume OSM.
- Assist in obtaining building Survey Control for 3D modeling and laser scanning
- Manage local 3D tool block library, if required.
- Ensure stakeholders have access to the Interface Plate library and VF resources, as necessary.
- Enforce collaboration processes with all stakeholders
- Schedule - Understand schedule implications and highlight risks and opportunities for the program.
- Support constraint management modeling efforts
- Responsible for integration and Indicators
- Drive One BIM integration BB/LOD/TI program
- Enforce the BB, LOD and TI trade partners are collaborating and coordinating all construction modeling and routings to ensure an on-going clash-free BIM federated model; minimize if not eliminate all field reworks and error-free utilities installations.
- Develop and oversee process to ensure field installation matches the Federated Model.
- Work with trade modelers to ensure routing adheres to specific routing zones.
- Monitor, track and help guide trade improvements.
- Define roadmap for improving cost and productivity.
- Define key indicators and create indicator package.
- Perform VF Activities.
- Define with VF 3D tool block requirement and modification methods, as required.
- Maintain Intel BIM supporting libraries and systems.
- Collaborate with VF site BIM managers on shared learnings, short and long term strategy and goals.
- Collaborate with key project stakeholders in the VF.
- Have stakeholder management in VF BIM planning and effort.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have at least one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or an Engineering related field with 6+ years of experience in design or construction and 2+ years' experience of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and strategies.
- Master degree in Construction Management, or an Engineering related field with 4+ years of experience in design or construction and 2+ years' experience of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Functional understanding of the Navisworks platform.
- Understanding of database software including Microsoft Access and SQL.
- Experience with 3D MEP building design concepts
- Facilities design, construction and semiconductor manufacturing tool installation design experience.
- Working towards or possessing a LEED designer certification.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
