Position Overview

Depending on an individual candidate’s experience, he/she can be hired as either a Business Analyst or Associate, decided at the offer stage. Associates lead a key portion of an innovation project, usually called a “workstream.”

They apply a broad range of creative problem-solving skills, combining technical and analytical excellence for the partner and organization. They synthesize data into investment or innovations recommendations and work directly with BD managers to implement these projects. Developing technical solutions to business problems, and to advance the company's investment and innovations efforts, begins with defining, analyzing and documenting requirements. Managing requirements at the task- and project-level to fulfill business needs. Business analysts/associates typically take the lead role in: Assisting with the business case development.

Responsibilities

Business Support

• Co-create with local management and/or startups to structure problems and brainstorm solutions
• Research market requirements and design concept to match needs
• Prepare and/or edit investment proposals in the form of PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, letters and reports for meetings and conferences
• Analyze data and make recommendations

Marketing Support

• Create marketing collateral
• Supporting seminars/marketing events (i.e. compose/distribute speeches, presentations, invitations, confirmation of attendees, reception at seminar/marketing event, etc.)
• Supporting and organizing internal and external marketing events as needed.
• Delivering external important documents as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor or above degree from top university with major in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees
• 5 years related working experience in similar role in strategy consulting firms, Big 4, BD/strategy roles at multinational companies
• Power user of Powerpoint and Excel

Skills & Competencies

• Curious and excited about the startups, venture capital and related domains
• Quantitative and able to present complex ideas clearly
• Structured ways or thinking
• Power user of PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills in English and a major Asian language - both written and verbal (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.)
• Detailed oriented
• Highly motivated, results-driven, highly organised with ability to effectively prioritise and self-manage workload
