This role will work with Group and local Underwriting teams. Group Operations have a range of critical underwriting transformation deliverables under AIA's Ascend 200 Strategy including a major new groupwide platform encompassing five capabilities including rules, AI and risk profiling to enable increased E2E STP, reduced TAT and to deliver leading customer experience.
This Business Analyst role will involve collaboration between Business and Technology teams at Group and BU as well as external partners to ensure that the deliverables are met.
Beyond the major projects, the successful candidate role will also support the establishment and ongoing development of a Community of Practice for Underwriting Excellence across the Group to enhance AIA’s Underwriting expertise and practices into a competitive edge.

  • Works with Group and local Underwriting teams, technology, and other functions to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs​
  • Clearly articulates and documents business requirements​
  • Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate business requirements and validate proposed solutions along with Underwriting SMEs​
  • Proactively work with Business and Technical workstream of Group and BUs​
  • Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands​
  • Business Requirement gathering of assigned projects, coordinate among stakeholders of the projects to ensure the scope of the project is clearly articulated and delivered​
  • Project Management support
  • Support the Underwriting team in organization and documentation, knowledge library creation for transformational Underwriting Practices across AIA BU

Job Requirements

  • University graduate
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience as business analyst with in the Insurance Industry
  • Regional experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience required
  • Team player and great problem-solving skills
