The Japan, Asia Pacific (JAPAC) Capability Build team is responsible for system and process definition, build, testing, and implementation in support of product launches and operational capabilities.  As a Manager Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the end to end execution of business critical build projects to enable the region’s growth.  In addition, the Manager will play a key role in supporting the business through issue resolution, training, and consultation as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

  • Act as JAPAC single point of contact for assigned Information Systems projects that are either driven by JAPAC or require JAPAC participation for a global change
  • Collect and translate business requirements from key stakeholders (e.g. Supply Chain, Quality, Finance) to support creation of business requirements documents (BRD)
  • Own and coordinate business data in support of IS testing scripts and influence the data architecture of customers, SKUs, accounts, sales orgs, etc. for JAPAC.
  • Conduct operation qualification testing and approval for information systems projects
  • Own and manage SAP change control records for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Information Systems related changes impacting JAPAC
  • Coordinate master data setup and accuracy to enable system readiness
  • Participate in the development and execution of a three year JAPAC Capability Build roadmap.
  • Own onboarding and support of new staff to Order to Cash and Plan to Stock activities in the country to enable system access and compliance to accurate use of the systems
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement system and process opportunities to enhance JAPAC’s Supply Chain capabilities
  • Review product physical and financial flows in conjunction with the Regional Operations Lead and interpret them in support of system architecture that supports JAPAC three year roadmap
  • Attend and participate in customer service and OTC global networks to provide JAPAC requirements and drive network improvements
  • Troubleshoot SAP system issues related to master data, plan to stock, and order to cash processes and translating it to IS for resolution
  • Provide subject matter expertise for SAP systems and corresponding JAPAC processes

Basic qualifications

  • Doctorate degree
  • OR
  • Master's degree & 3 years of directly related experience
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree & 5 years of directly related experience
  • OR
  • Associate's degree & 10 years of directly related experience
  • OR
  • High school diploma/ GED & 12 years of directly related experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree in life science, computer science, engineering, business or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working in the life science/pharmaceutical industry
  • 5+ years of experience in the execution (system design/build and/or user testing) of SAP enhancements and projects with a focus on Plan to Stock and Order to Cash
  • SAP certified
  • Experience with Tableau, Rapid Response, Veeva
  • Ability to manage timelines and deliverables in a structured manner
  • Ability to navigate within a matrixed organization and often ambiguous business environment
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve in a logical and consistent manner
  • Continuous improvement and quality mindset
