In this role, you have the opportunity to

As an Analyst your challenge is to assist Operational Managers of Philips businesses and external companies.

You are responsible for

  • Developing, ramping up and transforming manufacturing operations

  • Participating in project to improve the operations

  • Analyze and improve processes to contribute to better improved operations

  • Implement operational excellence methodologies and digital technologies

  • Viewing and developing industry 4.0 transformative opportunity including Industrial IoT, Advanced Analytics, and automation solutions across all core functions 1. Manufacturing, 2. Service Operations, 3. Procurement, 4. Supply Chain

This requires a hands-on approach and practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in operations and Industry 4.0.

The department Industry Consulting at Philips Innovation Services is a dynamic group of approximately 70 consultants with a growth ambition. We work with leading clients in operationalizing their strategic ambitions in and across key areas of their business: Innovation and Operations Management taking an integral approach. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve critical problems.

In Operations Management we support Operational Managers in solving complex operational challenges, improving the productivity and quality of operations. We work with our clients on key aspects for success: strategy, road mapping, architecture, process improvement, lean and digital manufacturing implementations. The Operations Management practice consists of a team of seasoned professionals combining the comprehensive business understanding with practical operations expertise. They have earned industry recognition during many years in the field.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master’s degree in a technical, science or business discipline preferably complemented with Business education;

  • Outstanding-student results, supplemented with extra-curricular activities;

  • relevant experience gained via internships in high-tech environments during your studies;

  • Capability to convert data into information, and ideally into intelligence;

  • Knowledge or exposure to operations management or healthcare management, covering various of the following aspects: business model, business cases, supply chain, process improvement, lean, financial modeling, care processes, hospital processes etc;

  • Knowledge or exposure to operational excellence or digital operations projects;

  • Knowledge or exposure to in Operation Excellence, e.g. Lean transformation;

  • Knowledge or exposure to Industry 4.0/Digital in Operations, e.g. Advanced Analytics Big Data, statistical analysis, predictive/prescriptive modeling, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) sensors, machine to machine connectivity, wearables, Automation collaborative robots, industrial robots, control systems, feedback controllers, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Performance Boards, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Software integration, 3D modelling, 3D Printing, Model-based Engineering;

  • Knowledge or exposure to project leadership in Operations environment;

  • Experience in successfully working in teams;

  • Experience in delivering complex projects to meet demanding targets in time and quality;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Advanced capability in Excel and PowerPoint.
