WHO YOU ARE

Sitting within the Global Operations function, Global Sourcing Operation (GSO) is an organization

managing the Sourcing, Project Leadership, Quality and Supply Chain for a broad scope of Sourced

OEM Products including Home Comfort, Cooking, Refrigeration, Dishwashers, Washers and Dryers,

Water Care, Floor Care and Small Domestics Appliances from the Asia Pac and European regions.

With an expected annual volume in excess of 20M units sourced the GSO has supported the delivery

of continued business growth and expansion, with future plans in place to maintain the growth trend.

Within the GSO structure there is an opportunity for the position of Manager, Database System

Management and Reporting. The candidate is responsible for the enhancement and various systems

integration such as SAP with the in-house tailor made database management and reporting system;

to liaise with the shared service team in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc business reports. The

candidate should also be supporting the Global Business Controller on the yearly IT budget process,

planning and forecasting for the operations, drive changes needed to ensure Long and Short Term

business reporting targets are delivered, ensure data accuracy, security, colloborate with Business

Controlling, Sourcing and other stakeholders to create best business practices and perform any adhoc

analysis to support the above functions and also for management as requested.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY

  • Liaise with internal IT departments including Centre of Excellence and external IT service

provider to support any IT requirements

  • Improves, optimizes, and identifies opportunities for improved software development

processes

  • Lead and develop sustainable data driven solutions with current new gen data

technologies to meet the needs of our organization and business customers

  • Designs robust end-to-end systems with an eye on the long term maintenance and

support of the application including cost

  • Manages and plans to ensure delivery success
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of

ethics and integrity

  • Supports continuous process improvement and innovation on data base/system

enhancement

  • Manage risks, assessing gaps/opportunities, and implementing action plans to mitigate

risks, when applicable

  • Effectively communicate project status to management and other stake-holders as

appropriate

  • Support the business on any ad-hoc business analysis, liaise and collect information from

each department, compile and prepare the final reports.

  • Experience overseeing the data stream of multiple projects including deployments,

integration and migration efforts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information System
  • At least 8 years in data management, reporting, with at least 5 years experience in data

warehousing or formulating unstructured data environments

  • Excellent knowledge of JDE, Cognos reporting, SQL, ODMS user interface etc.
  • At least 5 years solid experience in cloud architecture/technologies (Azure, AWS, Google

Cloud, Qing Cloud)

  • Expertise in handling large amounts of data through such capabilities as SQL Server
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
  • Adept at communicating and managing key stakeholders and able to drive change in the

organization

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
  • Solid experience in IT system management and ERP system integration like SAP, Oracle

Hyperion is a must

  • Good business sense, patient, and the ability to exercise independent judgment

Distinguished quality required:

  • High Self-motivation and able to work under pressure independently
  • Good Analytical skills
  • Very strong communication skills, able to explain technical terms to layman
  • Intercultural experience/ability to understand and cooperate with people from different

cultural backgrounds

  • Creative mindset and able to think out of the box for solution
  • Strong business acumen
  • Regular business travels are required
