BMW UK Manufacturing Ltd is a modern, high volume and complex manufacturing Plant and is the birthplace and heart of MINI production.

That’s why in addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for you to have a range of skills, attributes and behaviours. These include: team working, as well being able to work without close supervision; quality focus; good communication skills; showing enthusiasm and initiative; and responsibility and accountability for your work.

Apprenticeship Programme and Career Development:
BMW offers an enhanced level 6 degree apprenticeship. The 3.5 year programme is designed to enable you to experience different aspects of business and quality in an exciting manufacturing environment that is constantly developing. You will have the opportunity to build networks across the business and put the skills you will learn to good use, by carrying out projects, working alongside and supporting other members of the business, and carrying out tasks for which you have personal responsibility.

The apprenticeship will provide you with a number of different opportunities to support your career development, and you will be provided with the support and guidance you need to ensure your training is successful.

Whilst developing specialist, on-the-job knowledge, you will also undertake a Foundation Degree in Business Management, with the opportunity to complete a top-up year subject to performance.

Personal development within the BMW Group never stops! This begins with vocational courses and continues with selective training throughout your career.

Following the successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will start your career within our parts quality team, here you will be responsible for ensuring that parts delivered from our suppliers continuously achieve the correct specifications. You will control parts, liaise with suppliers and determine problem resolution processes to ensure the long term preventive measures are implemented, thus ensuring the quality of our premium vehicles is maintained and our customers are satisfied.

Rate of Pay:
A competitive salary enhanced annually depending on individual progress and performance starting at circa £13,950 per annum rising to over £26,000 over the programme.

Company car scheme eligibility to those 18 years and over, plus other benefits including an on-site gym, pension scheme, generous holiday allowance and a subsidised on-site restaurant.

Working Hours:
37 hour working week, start and finish times will vary according to work based placements and college hours.

As part of your application you will need to upload a copy of your most recent school report* and a CV. If you don’t have a school report then please upload a CV and an employer reference. If you don’t have an employer reference then please upload a CV and a personal statement.

• A minimum of 5 GCSE’s at level 6/B (or above) including Maths and English.
• A minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C (or above) or a BTEC level 3 (60 credits plus) in a relevant field of study.

*If you are currently studying you must upload a school/college report, stating your predicted exam grades. Failure to attach the above will mean we will be unable to progress with your application.

Closing date for applications - Friday 28th February 2020. Assessment centres for these roles will take place in April or May 2020, exact dates to be confirmed.

Important notes:
As part of your application you have been asked to upload specific documents. If you do not attach these, your application will not be progressed.

You must also be able to provide proof of your legal right to work in the UK, if you are not a UK or European passport holder.
