To develop, maintain and manage the company’s business continuity program. The Business Continuity Management Consultant will support all activities necessary to enable Philam Life and its affiliates to respond to any business interruption.

  • Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risk caused by business, regulatory, or industry specific initiatives. 

  • Liaise with business continuity teams in completing the BIA, BCP and coordinating testing activities. 

  • Act as a member of Incident Management Team to support business recovery efforts after disruption event in coordination with the IMT Head. 

  • Maintain the corporate wide business continuity program that addresses disaster recovery, business recovery and emergency response management. 

  • Manage the maintenance of the BC/Recovery site aligned with the business requirements of Philam Life and affiliates. 

  • Develop, produce and update business continuity plans and disaster recovery (BCP/DR) materials and documentation (e.g., plans, emergency response procedures, call lists, test results, etc.) 

  • Plan and coordinate all business continuity technical and user testing. 

  • Develop status reports (e.g., report cards) on departmental continuity plans and prepare management reports as necessary. 

  • Analyze and report on implications of regulatory requirements and industry guidance on BCP/DR programs. 

  • Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS in business, finance, engineering or operations preferred. 

  • 5 years or more experience in Insurance Operations, Risk Management and Business Continuity. 

  • Preferably DRII or BCI Certified Professional 

  • Excellent written and communication skills 

  • Excellent leadership, delegation and management skills 

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills 

  • Budgetary management skills and experience 

  • Strong stakeholder management skills at a senior level 

  • Proficiency in MS office products (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
