The Business Control Analyst will review and respond to Retailer inquiries submitted to the sales incentive receivable portal. Therefore, this role manages multi-million dollar retailer credit portfolio to carefully analyze and issue eligible rebates; reconciles past accounts to clear inquiries; works on ways to improve Retailer receivable for future programs.
- Manages and administers BMW & MINI Canada sales programs.
- Ensures credits are paid out as per published program rules and investigates / recommends corrective actions if credits not paid.
- Derives analytical tools for special programs and bonus programs (i.e. upgrade events, PHEV focused initiatives, sell-from-stock and private sales).
- Supports IT projects for development of future systems for sales reporting and sales incentive programs.
- Provides support for key month-end tasks within the National Sales Department (month-end reconciliation, program set-up/entry and residual value set-up).
- Develops analytical tools for assessing BMW Group Canada programs and competitor sales programs.
- In partnership with Regional Teams, this role is responsible for monthly Retailer inventory audit and reporting.
- Become first point of contact for Retailer inquiries concerning the sales program regulations, application, and execution.
- Ensure proper flow of funds (including monthly reconciliation) of subvention amounts from the Sales Company to BMW Financial Services.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business Administration, Finance or Computer Science (with strong skill set in financial modelling is also highly desired)
- 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills are required to execute daily tasks, ad hoc reporting, and to ensure efficiencies within the role: Writing Macros, Nested Functions, Logical Analysis, and Interpretation of data.
- Experience using Tableau Business Insights software is an asset.
- Experience or interest in automation (Robotic Process Administration is preferred).
- Experience with Automotive Retail accounting process is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Time management and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated team-player.
