This is a Business Controller role reporting to the Business Controller in the Business Area - Robotics & Discrete Automation located in Shanghai, China. Business Line Controller in ABB Robotics in China acts as a key partner to the Business Line Manager, has a responsibility for the Business Line’s financial result, supports the business in daily operational decisions and oversees the internal controls in the unit.

Your responsibilities

• Translating business strategy and targets into plans and measurable performance indicators. Using analytics and business acumen to identify reasons for deviations to targets and driving performance improvements.
• Driving the business planning and forecasting process. Preparing high quality and reliable forecasts, evaluating the financial implications of various decisions, identifying risks and recommending actions.
• Providing transparent, complete and timely information to local and global management as required to ensure alignment of objectives & present proposals for performance improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and external regulatory requirements for accounting and financial reporting. Ownership of processes from control perspective, implementation of internal control framework and raising awareness of the organization around its importance.
• Risk management from tendering, through execution until project closure, alignment of forecasts with the projects’ performance and estimates in cooperation with project controlling team.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business.
• More than 10 years of experience in a controlling role in a similar industry and preferably with project controlling background.
• Solid knowledge of SAP FI, CO and PS modules.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Fluent English and Mandarin.
