About the Role:

The Business Data Technician is responsible for researching, analyzing and validating information using web-based maps and news articles/social media/official websites. 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform web-based research to evaluate data quality
• Perform occasional software usability testing and provide feedback
• Process business applications
• Follow outlined processes to achieve predictable outcomes
• Analyse information and issues to bring them to resolution through web-research, data analysis, and critical thinking
• Apply critical thinking to identify high-level data trends
• Performing root cause analysis of spotted issues and escalating them to the appropriate component

Requirements:

• Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland
• Have native speaker fluency in an European language + English language skills, both written and verbal
• Candidates must be willing to work onsite and on a full-time basis in Cork, Ireland

Skills and Experience:

• Attention to details
• Passionate about IT and familiar with iOS and macOS
• Ability to work with large data-sets, identify patterns and trends and draw conclusions to recommend actions
• Strong web-research and comfort with using web-based maps applications
• Comfort with working independently, as well as in small and large cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with spreadsheets
• Experience with database systems
• Familiarity with web-based map applications
• Experience in data analysis  
• Experience with social media sites
• University Degree in Business Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, other technical degrees, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
