We have an exciting opportunity, and are actively recruiting, for a Business Developer, Factory Automation – North America, to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President, Factory Automation & Motion Control, this role will support Factory Automation’s top line growth in the North American sales region by driving TIA System, SCADA and OT2IT strategy in the regions and by supporting the local sales organizations’ sales measures. The successful candidate will be performance driven with a talent for building relationships at all business levels, including the C-Suite management level. This role includes an international scope and requires solid process, time management and communication skills. What will you do? Drive Factory Automation’s product strategy and support Siemens Certified Solution Partners to drive sales measures in the regions Responsible for volume/piece count of SCADA, OT2IT and TIA Systems offering Review Factory Automation’s product pipeline regularly and support regional countries to win projects to drive hardware pull-through (including required pre-sales support; for example, tender specifications, system architectures, etc.) Conduct target customer visits and value-based product presentations Support with the generation of customer success stories and references Grow SCADA/OT2IT/TIA partner ecosystem (selection, qualification, and onboarding) in regional countries Push consultive selling approach for SCADA/OT2IT/TIA offering to increase regional country’s “win rate” Foster close collaboration and alignment with other sales activities in sales region (Verticals/RM’s/TIA BD) Collect market and customer requirements feedback What will you need to succeed? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent Minimum of 5 years Key Account Management/Senior level Sales/business management experience Solid industry and market knowledge in Factory Automation is a must Knowledge of overall Siemens Industrial portfolio is an asset Proven track record of successful performance mainly in the Factory Automation industry or equivalent market Sales driven, dynamic, entrepreneur, strong interpersonal and communication skill, and ability to promote value and customer relationships Understands business plans and business development processes Executive level verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e.: financial, strategic & tactical thinking Ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment Ability to work successfully in a globally matrix organization About us.
