The Opportunity
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be based in our Hong Kong regional office, and is a key position within the team. The BDM is responsible for promoting our Brand and selling our
SAAS (Software As A Service) Learning solution and full service set including
Training contents, Talent outsourcing and Digital learning solutions.
The role reports into the Managing Director, Asia Pacific, and works cross functionally with internal ACDL teams (Training, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations).

Your role as Business Development Manager:
- Develop strategic and creative business plans to drive sales growth and determine the most suitable strategies for the brand portfolio
- Identify and develop client portfolio, through a targeted business development approach
- Research and drive deep understanding of client background and deeply understand brand objectives to offer a personalised strategy including product proposals, expectations and market trends
- Build and develop a trusting relationship with clients and be a “brand ambassador” communicating the core ACDL brand concept and value to clients
- Prepare proposals, and drive sales volumes while managing pricing and margin, as well as manage deliverables and execution schedules on a timely basis
- Measure and synthesise all the elements surrounding a project to track clients evolution as well as measure key KPIs and customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular meetings with key contacts within the trade to ensure deliverables are on track
- Maintain a database of competitor intelligence relevant and accessible.

- Work closely with Asia Pacific team based in Hong Kong, as well as Asia team to deliver a strong experience and results for the customer
- Monthly reporting on performance criteria and key KPIs to line manager and provide weekly updates on progression to the team, colleagues and clients to track deliverables and priorities
- Showcase strong team spirit and relish the opportunity to pick up tasks that fall broadly within the purpose of the role to find effective solutions
- Analyse results and propose action plans that the team can work together

Your Qualifications
- Proven track record of selling enterprise Educational solution into Strategic accounts; preferably Retail or consumer goods; three (3) years of quota carrying Retail or technology sales and account management experience.
- Strong business acumen, Solution Selling ability, Strong discovery skills, Objection handling skills, planning and closing skills
- Strongly analytical with retail sensitivity to Fashion and retailers, luxury goods and consumer goods companies.
- Technology-savvy, with keen interest in emerging technologies and ‘all things digital’.
- Understanding of enterprise tech platforms and its business functions is a plus.
- Resilient business developer mindset with entrepreneurial spirit
- Bachelor educated in Business or other relevant field
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin, Cantonese a plus
