An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Development Consultant to support the growth and development of our practice in Hong Kong.  We are looking to build on our already established footprint in Hong Kong and the SE Asia region, with the backing of a global design firm.

About the team 

Embedded within our design teams are members of our Business Development team, who innately understand and anticipate clients’ needs. They represent the client perspective and ensure it comes into play through every stage of the design process, making sure we’re truly creating places people love.

About the role

As a Business Development Consultant with Hassell, you will be responsible for supporting the business development and communication activities of the Hong Kong studio with a primary focus on delivering tenders, submissions and business development collateral.

As part of the role you will be working to manage the tender process across all disciplines, coordinating submission and tender content delivery. Amongst other things, the duties could include:

  • Supporting in the gathering of market information
  • Reviewing text and writing content of tenders, capability sheets and in-house material
  • Supporting client relationship management activities
  • Supporting the communication activities as required, such as preparation of newsletters, e-flyers and content for the website
  • Maintaining up to date CVs, project sheets, data sheets and capability statements
  • Preparation of reports and sophisticated InDesign format and PowerPoint presentations
  • Production of graphics within the Hassell branding framework

About you

We are looking for a self-motivated Business Development Consultant with experience in a similar design/architecture or professional services organisation. You should have a strong creative mind and ability to produce new ideas and concepts which convey a design story in client submissions and presentations.

You should also:

  • Hold a degree in a Marketing or Communication related field
  • Have previous communication and business development experience
  • Proven experience in submission writing and text review
  • Extensive InDesign and Photoshop experience
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluent Mandarin and English language.
