Job Description
You will develop and maintain professional commercial relationships with new and existing accounts to enhance customer experience as well as customer retention in line with growth objectives.You should possess a good relevant degree with 2-3 years in freight forwarding/ logistics/ shipping industry in a similar role and a passion for delivering exceptional account management.

KEY RESPONSIBILIITIES

A) New Business Development

• Research and build relationships with new clients
• Cold call as appropriate within Shanghai to ensure a robust pipeline of business opportunities
• Set up meetings between clients decision makers and MSC principals
• Work with various department/teams to develop sales proposals that meet the clients’ needs, concerns and objectives
• Achieve sales target and KPIs

B) Client Retention

• Present new services/solutions and enhance relationships with existing clients
• Arrange/participate in internal and external client debriefs

C) Business Development Planning

• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and sales channels
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

D) Management and Research
• Sumit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
• Ensure data is accurately managed within MSC’s CRM/other sales management system
• Track and record activity on accounts and achieve targets
• Present business development training and mentoring to all relevant stakeholders within MSC organisation
