Full/Part-time: US Business Development Manager at Tech Startup Company
Beyond Screen Limited (BSL) is a startup technology company in the children’s education and entertainment sector. Our main offices are located in Beijing with R&D and manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen.

BSL is preparing to launch its first product, BEYOND TABLET in the US, and is seeking a Business Development professional to develop strategic relationships within these markets.

Responsibilities:

Specifically, the candidate will, by and large independently,

• Develop a deep understanding of our product Beyond Tablet, and of the US market for children and family electronics with educational values.
• Formulate a set of key relationships that would be strategic for BSL to develop, in the areas of product distribution and sales, game development partnerships, academic research institutions in children's development.
• Work with CEO to define a business strategy for the US market, and identify the most strategic partners with whom to pursue such strategy
• Pursue such strategy, in terms of signing new distribution partnerships, game development partnerships, and research and development partnerships with academic institutions, and media relationships
• Represent the company at trade-shows, media, and other industry events around the world.

Qualifications:

We will be open to a candidate at any level of career stage, however, s/he should possess substantially the following qualifications:

• A passion and conviction for making things happen.
• Excellent English communication skills; Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required
• A problem solver, who could define a problem, figure the solution, and make it happen
• Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and resilient
• Strong understanding/interest of the smart tech ecosystem and/or social media savvy
• Pro-active working style to be able to initiate, set-up and drive strategic initiatives independently
• Highly organized, used to managing multiple projects to tight deadlines and with great attention to detail.
