Position Summary
The Business Development Manager builds strong relationships across divisions and works closely with other Thermo Fisher teams to drive incremental growth opportunities in Thailand/Vietnam, especially across the healthcare/biopharma and food/agri market verticals. The Business Development Manager understands the needs of the Thailand/Vietnam market, the key opinion leaders and key stakeholders within these verticals. The candidate uses his/her knowledge to identify new opportunities, cultivate the partnerships and relationships needed to capture new business and expand the potential of existing business to achieve the financial goals.

Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends and intelligence including competition, macroeconomics and the regulatory environment, and use it to influence/drive incremental revenue targets,
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth, engaging cross Division to drive business development opportunities and enable them to expand share of the addressable market,
- Collaborate with the Divisional teams to develop plans and go-to-market strategies that are in line with business objectives,
- Develop and implement a key account strategy for working with other divisional commercial leaders to drive incremental growth through value proposition and workflow selling solutions
- Cultivate strategic partnerships. Help create winning proposals,
- Find new customers; Incubate products and solutions with early adopters,
- Execute initiatives across high potential vertical markets,
- Develop and drive messaging & tools that communicate the value/brand directly to customers through different go-to-market channels, including direct sales team, channels and marketing activities.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all business development activities,
- Execute consistently on plan targets. Success linked to incremental revenue delivery over and above existing annual revenue targets.
- Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and applicable laws
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field (Science) and may have an advanced degree, certification or additional professional training
- At least 10 years of relevant experience (business development, people manager, scientific sales, distribution partnership management, or other customer facing commercial roles)
- Experience in dealing with government bodies, multiple large and complex projects
- Project management knowledge –certification is an advantage
- Indepth understanding of the Food/Agri and/or Healthcare/Biopharma market segments preferred
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, in English and Thai/Vietnamese
- Strong presentation skills
- Systematic problem solving by working with customers and internal team.
- Take ownership and able to demonstrate leadership in all aspects
- Ability to work in a global and multicultural team
- Must be self-motivated and enjoy challenges.
- Ability to travel as needed
