Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining valuable regional and national partnerships with other companies and organizations who serve similar customer segments.
? 40% Identify and contact companies in greater Shanghai area to successfully pitch partnerships for joint events, sponsorships, etc by developing unique proposals for each potential partner
? 40% Manage Business Development Officers in each location to strengthen results from existing partnerships and creating new partnerships by creating clear plans for cooperation with clear benefits for each side; leverage partnerships nationally
? 20% Work with Sales & Marketing team members to successfully execute partnerships to achieve forecasted leads results
Key Deliverables:
? Generate new high-quality leads by working with potential partners and individuals to help build brand and brand awareness through events and other communication channels and direct referrals
? Build and manage national team of Business Development Officers with the goal of increasing high-quality leads
Requirements:
? Over 5 years of work experience related to business development
? Strong sense of sales
? Self-motivation
? Understanding and ability to train a sales force
? Strong network and ability to leverage network
? Understanding of importance of brand consistency and experience
? Excellent teamwork skills
? Strong Chinese writing skills
? Proficient in English and Chinese
Work location & hours:
? About one-half of work time is visiting partners locally; remainder of time is typically spent in office
? Infrequent business travel to other cities in China
? Working hours are typically from 0930-1830, but our company supports a flexible and project-based work schedule; work may entail occasional Saturday mornings, but if required, will be offset by time off on another workday
Locations:
This position is for the Shanghai office
? Shanghai office: 77 Tai’An Rd, Changning District, located near Lines 1, 9 (Xujiahui) and 10 (Jiaotong University),but to be moved to Jiachun753 which is at Yuyuan rd in Jing'an district by next month.
? Beijing office: Jing Chao Building, 5 Nong Zhan Guan South Road, Chaoyang District, located near line 10 (Tuanjiehu) and easily accessible through multiple bus routes
? Suzhou office: Suzhou Industrial Park (soon to be opened)
Benefits:
? Competitive local monthly base salary will be paid.
? Sales commission will be rewarded for new services or products business brought in from new sources. Details to be discussed during interview.
? Annual vacation: National holidays + 5 days of paid personal vacation (10 days starting second year)
