The Role
As an Account Manager, you will serve as the face of the company to the our Chinese manufacturing partners. You will empower our merchants to create new products, fulfill orders, and work together with the Italic Merchandising team to develop "lookbooks" for your assigned manufacturers to fulfill to grow our product catalog.


Responsibilities

  • Meet, educate, train, and onboard new suppliers to the Italic platform and abide by our guidelines
  • Keep a close eye on supplier performance and provide insights into how they can improve their sales on Italic
  • Grow overall sales in your portfolio of accounts and ensure they are satisfied with performance
  • Prepare monthly reports to keep the Retail team well informed of the statuses of all current relationships
  • Offer our technology teams insight on how suppliers are using the supplier-center tools they're provided


Requirements

  • At least 2+ years experience in business development, account management, sales or working for a brand or supplier
  • Ambition with high sense of urgency and self-direction - entrepreneurial experience a big plus
  • Team player with ability to work with associates from different cultures
  • Integrity — absolutely no bad actors or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Excellent ability to use technology for work (WeChat, Slack, Microsoft Office) and a comfort with learning new tools
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with an ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • A passion for commerce and excitement about our platform and vision
