Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics, Chongqing

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing existing or new Contract Logistics business within the Cluster.
  • To coordinate all Cluster Business Development actions and trigger opportunities including the preparation and presentation of business proposals.
  • To work collaboratively with the Vertical Heads and other Business Units to develop opportunities + cross selling into business wins.
  • To support Branch and Sales Office colleagues to identify and win business development opportunities.
  • To ensure the development of a strong opportunity pipeline for sales opportunities across the cluster in conjunction with all operational heads as well as branch and sales office colleagues.
  • To work collaboratively with the Regional team to ensure that Cluster business development efforts are aligned and in accordance with Regional and Global directives
  • To receive of RFI (Request for Information) from Customers and subsequently ensure timely completion and return of same inc
  • To maintain an up-to date and accurate library of presentation sets needed for business development and customer presentations including local, cluster, regional and global case studies
  • To work with the solution design team to ensure solutions are completed on time and incorporated into responses to customers
  • To be involved with commercial and contractual discussions as required to close opportunities and contractual discussions


Your skills and experience

Successful Business Development Managers must be self motivated with a positive attitude and strong drive to exceed their targets. You must possess sound business sense with an eye for opportunities and development in the logistics domain, sound decision making skills and must have a successful track record in setting priorities, shaping process, guiding investment in people and systems. To be successful the role holder needs to be highly organized with the ability to influence customers to purchase services through demonstrating solutions and differentiators that meet customer requirements.
