Business Development Manager
Reports to: CEO
Works to improve companies market position, builds key customer relationships, defines business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
• Work closely together with PR & Marketing team and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue
• Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leverage your network
• Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization
• Research and build relationships with new clients
• Set up meetings between clients decision makers and company's practice leaders/ principals
• Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the managers team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns and objectives
• Present and image that mirrors that of the client
• Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships to grow and retain existing accounts
• Arrange and participate internal and external clients debriefs
• Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to an increase of sales
• Manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied an positive.
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling prepositions and differentiators
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
