Responsible for identifying external partners to source molecules/products required to complete the desired portfolio of different Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD) focus therapeutic areas. Leads the local operational assessment and supply terms contractual negotiation in support of portfolio expansion/ New Product Introduction / Playbook opportunities.  Together with the global operations licensing team, leads the due diligence process to identify risks associated with proposed sourcing partner to ensure continuity of supply and quality of products via negotiated contact terms.

Key Areas of Accountability:

He/She will be responsible for evaluating potential deals to source molecules for the EPD portfolio. 

He/She shall work with subject matter experts in all aspects of operations (regulatory, supply chain, finance, marketing, sales, commercial excellence etc.) to mitigate business risks. 

He/She shall work closely with regulatory affairs, legal, corporate business development to appropriately model launch timelines, product costs, and geographic expansion potential. 

He/She shall lead the collaboration between cross-functional teams in the determination of financial impact, timeline and resource estimates, and operational due-diligence in coordination with the global/regional teams for the following activities:

• In-licensing of products
• Distribution agreements
• Divestitures
• Local Product Acquisitions
• Local company Acquisitions with the guidance of the General Manager 

Knowledge & Experience:

• Exposure to pharmaceutical marketing, supply chain, project management and general business experience is highly desirable.
• Contractual experience desired (procurement, Third Party Manufacturing, distribution).  Must be able to handle large volumes of confidential data and be able to determine how and when to inform management of risks and issues.  Must be adaptable to changing priorities and fluid work environments.
• Good negotiation and communication skills are mandatory.  Must be able to work in a confidential environment.
