Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Athens, Greece Reports to: Head of Sales Functional Area: Allergan Aesthetics Job Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) role is an exciting new role that will be on the front of the company helping expand its clientele. The BDM holder will be primarily focused on identifying new customers and partnerships while in parallel will be targeting on finding new ways to increase the value of current customers (or/and switch and existing accounts) within the Key and Targeted Account groupings, providing overall account leadership and guidance to cross-functional account team members. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. This incumbent will be looking for new prospective customer opportunities through meaningful market insight whilst understanding detailed market or product complexities and nuances. He/she will on-board new customers ensuring a clear handover of the account to the relevant product specialist/account manager to further develop and nurture the relationship, at the appropriate time. Overall, the BDM role will be tasked with developing and diversifying business so that future growth of the organization is guaranteed. Supervisory responsibility: n/a Key Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Focus Large Potential / New Customers – various points of contact across the customer organisation to initiate selling conversation Expanding network of customer & stakeholders (new & switch accounts) that can be leveraged to identify new opportunities, expand the relationship and co-create value. Maintains working knowledge of the customer’s business model, including their strategic goals and objectives, position within their markets and their most significant competitors. Evaluates and assesses customer needs and requirements on an ongoing basis and engages customer in collaborative discussions with cross-functional team members to explore possibilities and potential areas for value co-creation and co-innovation. Strategic Planning & Focus Engages consultatively with customers and internal cross-functional team members to explore and develop new possibilities for value co-creation and mutual growth. Develops and implements strategies that differentiate Allergan from other providers in our markets while evolving our engagement with key/strategic accounts to higher levels of effectiveness. Works collaboratively with cross-functional team members to ensure that strategic account planning processes and best practices are properly implemented and deployed. Relationships and Influence Builds and grows strong trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders, sponsors and supporters by understanding what matters most to them and engaging in ways that positively influences Allergan’s overall relationship and credibility with them. Facilitates appropriate inclusion of Allergan cross-functional team members for the purpose of understanding what matters most to them and pursuing value co-creation and co-innovation together. Execution and Impact Executes strategic account plans by developing and implementing action plans that enable account market share increase Proactively deploys tactics that support account strategies by setting realistic expectations and driving execution of action plans by the Allergan cross-functional team. Assumes accountability for keeping account plans current, focused and realistic, as well as ensuring that tactics are properly executed to drive market share increase. Approaches internal negotiations to increase in market share on behalf of account plan execution and value cocreation such that outcomes support the strategies of the plan and are win-win for all. Main Contacts Allergan Senior Leadership and Management Allergan Cross-Functional Team Members Sales and Marketing Team Supporting Functions (Customer Service, Finance, HR etc) External Stakeholders Qualifications Job Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, in Business or related filed is required Master’s Degree or MBA will be considered an asset At least 4 years of past experience as Medical or Sales Representative with a proven track record of achieving sales targets Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical industry experience and therapeutic area knowledge (medical aesthetics) will be a plus Able to engage and influence stakeholders to ensure the best cross-functional thinking and results Excellent command of the English language both verbally and written Ms Office Fluency Essential Skills and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials) High-level communication skills in both, Greek and English Customer centric approach creating sustainable relationships and effectively engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders Strong business and financial acumen Solid interpersonal skills for building rapport with customers Robust negotiation skills Tenacity and commitment on meeting or/and exceeding targets Highly motivated and driven by the opportunity to truly make a difference Encourage creativity and innovation Project management and organizational skills Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service and support to achieve a high level of customer/patient satisfaction Positive attitude and passion for working within the Aesthetic field Other Skills Driving license Computer literate Ability to travel in/out of the country (40% of the time) Compliance & Integrity You will be responsible for conducting your activities on behalf of the company consistent with a high standard of business ethics and in compliance with the laws and regulations that govern our activities (subject to local law/requirement) Travel Yes, 50 % of the Time Job Type Experienced Schedule Full-time Job Level Code IC About AbbVie AbbVie’s mission is to discover and deliver innovative medicines that solve serious health issues today and address the medical challenges of tomorrow.
