Business Development Manager Location: Remote - UK Wide Siemens are recruiting for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join the Energy & Performance Services (EPS) Business Unit. About EPS: Energy & Performance Services (EPS) is spearheading our growth in the grid edge market where energy efficient and connected buildings meet the evolving grid environment. We focus on helping customers to reduce their energy consumption, become more sustainable and to be more resilient in terms of energy supply. We develop and execute projects covering a variety of technologies including HVAC upgrades and replacement, energy generation and storage, micro grids, and manufacturing process-related equipment. In addition, we also offer services to help customers to efficiently monitor and manage their energy, operations and maintenance activities and environmental footprint. Over the next years we have a high growth ambition and are therefore looking for highly qualified and motivated individuals who want to expand our position in the market and our business. What else do you need to know: In this role, you will work remotely and can be based from anywhere in the UK, with travel required to visit customers and Siemens sites across the UK as required. Your new responsibilities: Generate a robust and qualified pipeline of opportunities within our target verticals and aligned to our overall business objectives. You will be solely responsible for generating your own pipeline through a combination of internal and external networking. Responsible for both business development and closing of deals with a target currently of £3m p.a. Building relationships with CXO’s and Senior Management of our target customers. Developing a range of projects at various monetary values but you will be working on large multi-million complex opportunities. Lead the creation and development of EPS projects for customers in select vertical markets, such as Commercial & Industrial. Manage the end-to-end sales process to ensure customer opportunities are properly qualified prior to investment of resources. Detailed understanding of wide-ranging challenges faced by Commercial & Industrial clients with strong ideas and approach for helping address and overcome these by developing comprehensive, mutually beneficial partnerships and strategies. Ensure coordinated and cooperative effort between EPS sales team and EPS operations, as well as other divisions within Siemens. Participate in development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies. Develop detailed sales forecast and provide input to budget. Well networked with market decision makers and involved in market focused associated trade organisations and professional groups.
