Oracle Israel is hiring dynamic and energetic individuals to help customers maximize their investment on Oracle products. The team is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to Drive a team of business development executives who will drive the overall go to market and execution for all Oracle products to the Israeli Government Sector (non-Defense
). The primary focus of the Business Development activities will be Oracle’s Cloud offerings (Iaas, Paas, and SaaS)

Oracle Cloud Solutions

The main objective of the Business Development Manager is to become a trusted advisor for Oracle's future Israeli Government Sector customers. This dynamic individual is also responsible for building a strong network with Israeli Government entities and companies. The key objective is to develop pipeline of opportunities that will result in deals in the mid and long term. The individual will need to develop and execute an approach for development of the business between Oracle and the Israeli Government Sector, focused on Oracle Cloud solutions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Drive the overall sales strategy and execution for all Oracle products (with a primary focus on Cloud products) to the Government Sector (non-Defense), agencies. e.g., Ministries and related companies.

 

·       Develop and execute a multi-year strategic business development plan. 

 

·       Develop customer relationships at all levels of Israel Government Sector.

 

·       Develop and execute an approach for development of the business between Oracle and the Israeli Government Sector. 

 

·       Develop local strategic partnerships to build Government Sector opportunities.

 

·       Manage a small team of individuals focused on business development in the Israeli Government Sector. 

 

·       Partner with the Oracle’s various Line of Business to support and pursue identified opportunities.

·       Establishing, building and nurturing long term, positive business relationships with Israeli Government Sector entities, through forging a deep understanding of their business, the challenges they face, future projects and plans.

·       Maintain close relationships with Government to ensure results on the agreed Go-To-Market

·       Ensure partners have the right skillset and can successfully sell/implement Oracle solutions

·       Support development of cloud business by pro-actively proposing hybrid solutions and development working relationship with Sales teams.

PREFERRED PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS

·       Minimum 10 years proven technology and/or project management experience with the Israeli Government Sector.

·       Demonstrated track record in establishing sales success with the Israeli Government ($5M-$100M) – advantage.

·       Knowledge of Government Sector sales and prospecting techniques is required.

·       Experience in effectively managing Israeli government contracts and agreements, 

·       Strong Network with Key Decision Makers within the Israeli Government Sector.

·       Strong presentation skills and communicate professionally as a dynamic speaker and in written responses to emails; RFPs; RFIs; and when submitting reports

·       Experience in effectively developing and managing partners based on deep business and technical relationships based on in-depth knowledge of the Israeli Government industry and customer requirements.

·       Proven experience in successfully working in a highly matrixed environment.

·       Demonstrated history of building small effective teams.

·       Proficient in English, both Speaking/Writing/Reading.

A Business Development Representative is assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the product*s sales opportunities. Generates business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship with customers that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle's sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specific needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle's products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and hands off deals to a successful close.

 

 

Manages a team that is responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.

Manages, through other managers, a team of business development representatives for a territory/region. The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides operations management of lead qualification functions. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget.

Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important.
