Siemens Smart Infrastructure We are hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Baltimore area, Baltimore (Owings Mills) branch. The position will act as the main point of contact in all aspects of developing, selling, and implementing digital smart building solutions and services with identified Key Accounts and Vertical Markets. The BDM works in close collaboration with the branch teams, including sales and operations, engineering, and project management. Your focus will be on some of the largest key customers in the Philadelphia market. You will lead and influence the smart buildings of tomorrow! Responsibilities shall include developing long term strategic plans for assigned accounts, generating contracts and proposals, planning customer meetings, developing and maintaining all C-Suite/ Director level relationships and establishing consultative solutions. Increase Siemens digital/core business spec share with architects and engineers through regular contact, presentations, lunch & learn, and introduction of specification development tools. Other responsibilities include maintaining after-sale relationships, penetrating competitive accounts, and communicating current market intelligence to various decision makers within each account. Work with Siemens Smart Infrastructure Vertical Market teams to support Smart Building sales effort. Tracks and reports pipeline of opportunities in close collaboration with branch and zone leadership. Engage proper HQ resources as required for project and specification development. Proactively position Siemens as a technology and energy partner with general contractors, consultants, and end-users. Works in close collaboration with Zone integration and network engineer team. Actively participate in and lead relevant business and trade organizations. Responsibilities: The main objective of this role is to achieve Branch solutions order and gross margin targets. Achieve smart building order intake target Drive incremental sales at all assigned key accounts Migrate existing customer base to smart building solutions Lead tier construction market approach in branch utilizing smart building, IoT and ecosystem solutions to differentiate Siemens in the marketplace and on target projects/ key accounts Educate branch sales and operations teams to successfully sell and execute smart building solutions Provide guidance to branch sales management on strategic project acquisition Conduct internal training sessions Conduct external training sessions for consulting engineers, general contractors, and existing customers Provide project specific strategic guidance and leadership Provide project specific presentations Enhance and innovate current solution set Provide in depth, vertical market specific, customer research back to corporate office A strong consultative technical approach to understanding customer needs and communicating solutions that solve their project/ business use-cases This position reports to the Branch General Manager (BGM) and works with Branch management on a dotted line basis to achieve branch order intake targets.
