Job Overview
 
Business Development is an area that collaborates with a variety of internal and external business groups
to enhance DTNA businesses. Business Development projects are closely related to CASE (Connected,
Autonomous, Shared & Services, and Electric). The Business Development Project Specialist supports
projects using SAFe methodologies, serving as one of the input areas focus on moving projects from
original concept through final implementation. Accountable for key activities to support direction,
coordination, monitoring, execution, implementation, communication and completion of assigned projects
ensuring consistency with company strategy, work plans and goals. You will work with senior leadership at
Daimler to shape and define business models that leverage existing capabilities and evaluate external
partnerships to support Daimler Trucks' long-term vision. Our ideal candidate is passionate about new
technologies, brings structure to ambiguity, builds compelling recommendations, and is a self-motivator.

Responsibilities
 
- Product Manager advisor leading with minimum guidance all interactions with full accountability of the outstanding issues until a resolution is reach.


- Build and manage external and internal relationships that lead to strategic alliances and partnerships to support CASE initiatives.


- Support on problem solving bringing innovation to ambiguous business situations.


- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses related to market size, business model and scenario analysis.


- Create and lead technology Proof of Concept action plans, managing each strategic growth opportunity through completion.


- Manage product end to end process collaborating with product owners, stakeholders, customers, architects, and program managers.

- Master's degree from an accredited college/university with 1+ years related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience; OR an Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience; OR a High School diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience required


- At least 1 year of group leader, project lead or mentoring experience required.


- Ability to research and analyze emerging industry trends to effectively define the business context and ecosystem in which digital solutions can be leveraged for the trucking industry required.


- Strong knowledge of principles of effective business strategy, market dynamics, commercial vehicles and competitive intelligence preferred


- Extensive experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, as well as ability to work in a collaborative and team-centric culture preferred


- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to package and present complex analysis and recommendations clearly
required.


- Experience with a variety of traditional and new corporate communications channels (print, online, digital, video, face-to-face) required.


- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and/or Think Cell required.


- About 20% - 40% travel required to corporate offices and offsite meetings preferred
