Job Overview
 
Daimler Trucks is establishing a new, international research & development department to bring automated and electric driving technologies to series production. The Business Development team will closely work with this new group to develop robust business cases related to CASE topics (Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services, and Electric). You will work with senior leadership at Daimler to shape and define business models that leverage existing capabilities and evaluate external partnerships to support Daimler Trucks' long-term vision. Our ideal candidate is passionate about new technologies, brings structure to ambiguity, builds compelling recommendations, and is a self-motivator. 


Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing an excellent advisor experience through all interactions with full accountability of the outstanding issues until a resolution is reached.

- Build and manage external and internal relationships that lead to strategic alliances and partnerships to support CASE initiatives.

- Bring structure to ambiguous business situations.

- Perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses related to market size, business model and scenario analysis.

- Create and lead Technology Proof of Concept action plans, managing each strategic growth opportunity through completion.

- Manage product end to end process collaborating with product owners, stakeholders, customers, architects, and program managers.

- A Master's degree from an accredited college/university with 4+ years related experience OR Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and 6+ years of related experience required

- A degree focus in Business Management or Software, Systems Engineer is preferred

- An attached resume is required

Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of group leader, project lead or mentoring experience

- Ability to research and analyze emerging industry trends to effectively define the business context and ecosystem in which digital solutions can be leveraged for the trucking industry

- Strong knowledge of principles of effective business strategy, market dynamics, commercial vehicles and competitive intelligence

- Extensive experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, as well as ability to work in a collaborative and team-centric culture

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to package and present complex analysis and recommendations clearly

- Experience with a variety of traditional and new corporate communications channels (print, online, digital, video, face-to-face)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Think Cell

- About 20% - 40% travel required to corporate offices and offsite meetings


Preferred Qualifications 
- SAFe Product Manager certification
