Eaton has an opening for a Business Development & Strategy Specialist in the Industrial Sector, which includes Eaton Aerospace, eMobility, Vehicle, Filtration, and Golf Product Groups. This position will be based in Beachwood, OH. Relocation assistance will be offered! Sponsorship is not available! Position Overview: The primary function of this position is to actively contribute to Eaton’s Industrial Sector business development and corporate strategy initiatives. These activities shape some of the company’s biggest decisions and require thought leadership and strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Key responsibilities include strategic planning activities, competitive analysis, financial analysis, Board of Director presentation creation, investor presentation creation, acquisition pipeline development and tracking, market analysis, preparation of monthly and quarterly senior management presentations, preparation of financial models and other special projects. In this function you will: Conducts analysis to understand and frame thinking on key strategic issues to drive strategy for the entire corporation Studies companies / markets / industries and assesses attractiveness to determine areas for acquisition or divestiture and recommends appropriate actions Develops compelling materials to advance and/or advocate our corporate strategy Develops financial models for valuations, benchmarking, and planning purposes Support financial and strategic diligence for inorganic growth targets, including opportunities involving new business models and / or new market adjacencies Support business case development for strategic topics across the Sector; quantify organic investment requirements; assess and quantify magnitude and profitability of specific opportunities Supports presentation of valuation, M&A pipeline and strategy work to senior leadership Perform in-depth market, competitive, and financial analysis Prepares business cases including strategic, financial and market analysis for merger, acquisition, divestiture, and alliance activity. Leads or participates in Industrial Sector projects as necessary, with the ability to deal with time-sensitive deliverables. Investigates and targets potential acquisitions, joint ventures and alliances. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, corporate development, finance, accounting, or strategic planning. Masters’ degree will be considered with a minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, corporate development, finance, accounting, or strategic planning This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship Preferred qualifications: Progressive finance and accounting experience Knowledge of Industrial Sector segments and product offerings CPA or graduate degree in business, finance, or accounting from an accredited institution Experience in applying financial modeling and valuation methodologies Experience developing the ability to quickly assess potential acquisitions / investments and distill and communicate the key value elements and strategic rationale for executing a deal Desire to build ‘soft skills’ required for successful strategy and business development engagement within a large, global organization Demonstrated ability to complete complex financial analysis Demonstrated expertise with MS PowerPoint and other MS tools including Excel Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills Travel may be required 10% of time What you’ll get from us: We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
