Position Overview Siemens Digital Industry is looking for a dynamic professional to lead the Business Excellence function of our Digital Enterprise Services Business Unit. This is a unique opportunity to strategically partner with Business Unit leadership in driving cross functional digitalization projects, strategic initiatives and lean programs to ultimately deliver a world class customer experience. Digital Enterprise Services is leading the digital transformation of the industrial market with a comprehensive portfolio ranging from traditional services to the seamless integration of automation, software and cutting-edge technologies that will take the industry to the next level of efficiency. We address numerous markets with a focus on automotive, aerospace, machine tool, pharmaceutical, chemical, water and wastewater as well as glass and solar. The Business Excellence Manager will report into the U.S. Digital Enterprise Services Finance head. Responsibilities • Drives alignment on strategy, guidelines and procedures related to Business Excellence for the Business Unit. • Analyses, develops, implements and adapts defined Business Excellence guidelines and procedures (e.g. regarding Benchmarking activities) for assigned area of responsibility, ensures proper communication and training. • Leads a team of professionals. • Plans and initiates benchmarking activities and (self-) assessments of Business Units operational performance. • Defines and monitors appropriate KPIs and improvement targets together with management and functions. • Sets up, coordinates and ensures implementation of comprehensive business improvement programs in line with overall business excellence strategy and targets for the assigned organizational unit. • Defines program structure, required resources, responsibilities and targets for individual subprograms. • Monitors program progress and ensures program reviews with management and communication to stakeholders. • Ensures cross functional implementation of business excellence approaches, e.g., according to BE Toolbox methods and tools and drives best practice transfer and lessons learned. • Monitors/researches technology trends (Strategic/proactive analytics) to develop new service/product ideas • Monitors/researches technology trends to develop new/improved internal systems (e.g. Lean digital factory) • Tests and pilots new technology • Develops and maintains technology roadmaps with IT • Interacts/manages IT relationship and develops IT/technology budget • Determines analytics framework, tools, and systems (e.g. WebFocus, users) • Supports other functions/areas with capabilities (e.g. customer experience – customer view) • Conducts process performance monitoring and analysis • Conducts predictive analysis based on functional and process need (not offerings to customers) Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience • BA in Engineering, Operations Management or similar discipline • At least 10 years of professional work experience • Experience working in a multi-national, matrix environment • Demonstrated experience leading complex multi-functional digitalization projects • Ability to interact with interdisciplinary & international teams • Strong sense of ownership and drives improvement throughout the entire organization • Effective change management skills with demonstrated experience of driving the organization and culture towards desired outcomes • Team mindset with the ability to work with and lead teams constructively to achieve a common goal • Organized, creative, able to bring new and unique ideas; easily make connections among previously unrelated notions; seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements, and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons. #LI-VM1 Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
